Bringing Learning to Life at Center Hill Elementary

This October, the Wildlife Discovery Center brought the classroom to life for 3rd graders at Center Hill Elementary School in Olive Branch, MS! Fresh off completing their Animal Classifications Unit in ELA, these eager students got to experience hands-on learning that perfectly tied into Mississippi State Learning Standards.

Dr. Toni Carmichael designed an interactive post-visit activity that reinforced what the students had been studying in their English Language Arts curriculum.

There's nothing quite like seeing young faces light up when they connect classroom concepts with real, live animals!

These kinds of meaningful educational experiences are exactly why WDC's outreach programs continue to make such an impact in our community schools.

Help us continue bringing hands-on learning experiences like this one to more classrooms across our community.
