WDC Brings Wildlife Wonders to Tipton County Library

We're thrilled to share the incredible success of our recent program at the Tipton County Public Library! Our ambassador animals helped draw the library's second-largest crowd ever, with an amazing 425 community members joining us for an afternoon of hands-on wildlife education.

Families from across the county gathered to meet our ambassador animals, some including Gafas, our Spectacled Owl, and Regius, our Ball Python, while learning about conservation efforts and the importance of protecting our local ecosystems.

The enthusiastic response from attendees of all ages reinforced our belief that connecting people with wildlife creates meaningful learning experiences that inspire environmental stewardship.

We also had the privilege of visiting Mississippi Wildlife Rehab Inc. to share our ambassador animals with their summer camp participants. These young nature enthusiasts had the opportunity for up-close encounters with our wildlife ambassadors while learning about animal adaptations, habitats, and conservation challenges.

Through our traveling programs featuring ambassador animals, we're fostering the next generation of environmental advocates across Tipton, Fayette, and Shelby counties.

Looking ahead, we're excited about our upcoming summer programming, including partnerships with 15 YMCA Summer Camps and our scheduled visit to Columbus Air Force Base in July, where we'll share our ambassador animals with children of military service members.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our mission to inspire environmental stewardship through innovative outreach programs that provide immersive, hands-on education about nature and wildlife conservation!
